LOZIER MICRO-EXTERNSHIP FOR EDUCATORS
Learn about the world of advanced manufacturing! This Lozier externship program is designed to teach educators who will then share with their students, the skills and traits needed that make manufacturing a great career.

ABOUT THE EXTERNSHIP
You will immerse yourself into the world of advanced manufacturing. After gaining a deeper understanding of advanced manufacturing, you will take that experience and knowledge back to your classroom to share with manufacturing’s future workforce.
The program is a 3 day/20-hour experience. Participants will observe and learn about the skills/traits that make an employee successful and outline a plan that you will take back to your classrooms to share with your colleagues and students. You will also be asked to provide a detailed “evaluation” to Lozier of your observations and recommendations as to how Lozier can improve our operations/environment.
At completion of the program, you will create a plan to promote what you have learned during the externship.
Dates of the program are July 22 -23 (8am – 4pm) & July 24 (8am – Noon).
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any teacher, educator, counselor, or administrator in the Metropolitan surrounding area of Omaha & Council Bluffs is eligible to participate in the externship program.
SELECTION PROCESS
A committee comprised of representatives from Lozier will review all applications. Externs will be selected by considering their experience and quality of application.
PAID EXTERNSHIP
Applicants will receive $550 for 100% completion of the Micro-Externship, and the submission of your educational outline as to plans to promote what you have learned during the externship.

How Long is the Externship?

What are the Dates of the Externship?
Dates of the program are July 22 -23, 2026 (8am – 4pm) & July 24, 2025 (8am – Noon).
How are Applicants Selected and Compensation?
Those selected to participate will be notified of their externship assignment by April 27, 2026. Upon selection to participate, additional information will be provided. A virtual meeting will be held at 4pm on June 1, 2026. A Zoom link to be provided if you are selected for the program. Each extern will receive $550 for 100% completion of the Micro-Externship twenty (20) hours of participation and the submission of your educational outline as to plans to promote what you have learned during the externship.
