Bryan High School Freshman Academy tours Omaha facilities

Paint Line 6 Lead Mauricio Serrano and Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith speak with the Bryan High School Freshman Academy tour group.

Several students and educators from Bryan High School Freshman Academy visited Lozier’s Omaha facilities Monday. Tanya Shaul, Director of Industrial Engineering, helped arrange the event. Shaul is the Advisor for TDL Program (Transportation, Distribution and Logistics). The thirteen students toured both the Distribution Center and North Plant, gaining insight from Lozier employees.

Brand Strategist Phyl Thomas and Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith spoke to students and answered questions about Lozier’s career opportunities in manufacturing. Additionally, students spent time visiting with Andrew Baber, Tool & Die Journeyperson, as he is a graduate of Bryan High School.

The high school’s Freshman Academy program provides 9th-grade students with the opportunity to explore careers and focus on skills for success in high school and beyond. Students participate in a freshman seminar course, career exploration and college experiences prior to choosing an academy in the spring of their freshman year.
