Tuesday is IT Professionals Day, a national day started in 2015 to recognize the critical roles the tech specialists play in managing and maintaining essential systems for businesses.
Lozier celebrated with carnival-themed games in sunny weather with an extended break, lunch, prizes and chance to recognize everything the department has accomplished in 2025 and beyond.
“Today is an opportunity to celebrate each and every one of you for your passion and commitment to keeping Lozier operational,” Chief Information Officer Jeanna Faulhaber said to the IT team. “One of Lozier’s core strategies is Leading with Reliability. Our technology transformation over the past five years emphasizes the importance to keep our systems safe and reliable. Our employees have and will continue to depend on systems up and running to do their jobs.”
Employees also took part in a creative raffle, hoping to win a YETI cooler. To enter, people wrote and offered suggestions for business improvement. Picking a random winner, Faulhaber read the suggestion from Cyber Security Engineer Dave Stoakes, reading: Tool Audit Challenge, with the goal to identify an under-used tool and see if there are better alternatives or ways to get more value out of Lozier’s existing investments.
