In its fourth year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grants program supported 50 nonprofit organizations across the country in 2025. These are the 2025 recipient organizations’ stories of impact.

Robotics teams are a way for students to grow their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). At Middlebury Community Schools’ Northridge High School, the Cyber Buggies Vex Robotics Team is no exception. Managed by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, Vex. Robotics provides national educational robotics opportunities for students as young as elementary aged through university levels.

On Northridge’s team, high schoolers and middle schoolers work hands-on, creating robots and participating in competitions against robotics teams from other schools. Composed of four coaches and more than 20 members, the team is continuing to expand and attend competitions. Last year, the group competed in six different competitions in Northern Indiana with one team qualifying for the state competition.

Lozier’s 2025 Community Grant funding was allocated towards covering the Cyber Buggies’ travels to a competition at Purdue University, attending a Signature Event and purchasing electronic and pneumatic kits from Vex Robotics.
